Reading is fundamental, and here at the Voorheesville Public Library, we want to make sure that all students maintain their reading skills over summer vacation.

Students currently in grade 6 and up can earn community service credit for assisting with the library’s Summer Reading Program.

Screen Free Week is an annual invitation for kids to play, explore, and rediscover the joys of life beyond being glued to a screen.

Bald Eagle Adventure: Adults of all ages are invited to register for and join us at 1 p.m.

— Books & Beyond: “The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek” by Kim Michele Richardson, 11 a.m., April 13, virtual;

Be The Change Book Club, for students in grades 8 to 12, is reading “Slay” by Britney Morris. Pick-up or borrow a copy of “Slay” and then come to the meeting on Tuesday, April 19, at 6:30 p.m.

Women’s History Walk: Join the library as we learn about some local history at the Thacher Visitor Center, on Thacher Park Road,  at 1 p.m., on Saturday, March 19.
