Bald Eagle Adventure: Adults of all ages are invited to register for and join us at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 30, at the Nature Center (87 Stan Levine Dr., Thacher Park) as we learn about our national bird, the bald eagle. These birds have nested on the shore of Thompson’s Lake since 2018. This program is subject to weather cancellation.
MS Book Club
Students in grades 6-8 are invited to register for and pick up a free (through the generosity of our Friends of the Library) copy of the book “One Last Shot” by John David Anderson. Read about Malcolm, who has discovered a sport that he enjoys, and all of the challenges in the last big miniature golf tournament. Then join us from 3 to 4:30 p.m., Friday, April 29 at the library, while we design a mini golf green and putt around.

Learning Circles
Watch “Just Belonging: Finding the Courage to Interrupt Bias”, a TEDtalk by Kori Carew (link is on our website), and then join us at 7 p.m., Thursday, April 28 for some honest conversation and active listening. We’ll explore some practical ideas and anti-racist practices to help grow your understanding. Ground rules will be shared in advance. The virtual link will be shared once you register.

History Walk
Take a trip down memory lane with local history guide Dennis Ulion. Please register for and join us at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, April 23 as we learn about how Voorheesville became what it is today. Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes, as this walk is 2.2 miles.This program is subject to weather cancellation.
Fantastic
Harry Potter Games
Students in grades 4-8 are invited to join us at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 20 as we celebrate the release of the new Fantastic Beasts movie. Can you solve the Fantastic Beasts Breakout Challenge? Or if board games are more your thing, let’s play a Harry Potter themed clue game. Registration requested.
Meet Lucky
Children aged 4 and up, and their family, are invited to join us at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 19, for a paws-itively good time as we meet Lucky, the canine star of three books, and his mom, author Elizabeth Macy! The program will include storytime, a craft, Q & A with Elizabeth, and a meet and greet with Lucky. Books will be available for sale and signing for $15. Please register.
Holiday hours
The library will be closed on Sunday, April 17, in observance of Easter.
Trustees meet
The monthly meeting of the Board of Trustees will be held in the library community room at 7p.m., Mon. Apr. 25. The public is always welcome! No registration required.
