Native plum (Prunus americana) is original to our area and a good choice for your native garden. It’s been replaced by non-native invasives in most areas. It spreads through suckers but with diligence can be grown in tree form reaching 15 to 20 feet in height. The fruits vary in acidity and are an inch long.
