BETHLEHEM — An unnamed juvenile has been charged with arson and criminal mischief — both felonies — after starting a fire on Monday at 45 Beacon Road in Glenmont, police say.

Before riders took off, the not-for-profit Kenneth’s Army dedicated a memorial bench at the Berne Town Park to Kenneth White, a 5-year-old who was killed by domestic violence in 2014, and named the park’s access road “Kenneth’s Way” in his honor. 

On June 1, Guilderland’s zoning board said Town Center plaza could no longer use its LED sign for three displays that were not previously approved by the board.

GUILDERLAND — On May 24, the day that an 18-year-old in Uvalde, Texas gunned down 19 students and two teachers at Robb Elementary School, the Guilderland School Board started its evening meeting with a moment of silence to honor and mourn the dead.

NEW SCOTLAND — An 11-year Voorheesville Middle School student has been charged with a felony for threatening to kill a classmate last Wednesday. 

The incident occured on May 25, a day after the school massacre in Texas.
