VOORHEESVILLE — AARP Tax-Aide will once again be preparing, for free, income tax returns at St. Matthew’s Parish Center in Voorheesville beginning on Friday, Feb. 21, and running for three additional Fridays: Feb. 28, March13, and March 27.

Christopher W. Meyer, Monica R. Skanes, and Brian M. Wang have been named partners at Whiteman Osterman & Hanna LLP.

Laurie Carbo-Porter, Ph.D., RN, has been named dean of nursing at Maria College.

VOORHEESVILLE — The First United Methodist Church of Voorheesville will be offering a Free Community Lunch on Tuesdays, Jan. 14 and 28, from noon to 1 p.m., eat-in only.

The church is located at 68 Maple Ave. in the village.

“Please come join us,” said Pat Klose-Hammond in a notice announcing the lunch.

VOORHEESVILLE — The First United Methodist Church of Voorheesville offers a Women’s Bible Study every Thursday, at church, from 1 to 3 p.m.

The Schoharie Valley Singers are looking for singers to join the chorus as it continues its 41st season. Rehearsals begin on Tuesday, Jan. 14, and are held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Central Bridge, running from 7 to 9 p.m. The LDS Church can be found at 141 Church St. in Central Bridge.

The money was a part of fundraising efforts throughout the year, and the coats were donated by G-III Apparel Group, Ltd.

ALBANY COUNTY — Bruce Hilliard, a resident of the Albany County’s nursing home, has had his artwork selected for a 2020 “Art From the Heart” calendar.

His painting is titled “Pagoda Lights” and is featured on the cover of the calendar.
