Last Thursday, CDTA held their annual bus pull in efforts to raise money for breast cancer awareness. This year, it was held outside Jacob and Anthony's restaurant at Stuyvesant Plaza in Guilderland.

On Tuesday morning at Farnsworth Middle School, held it's annual Mix It Up at Lunch Day, an international campaign that encourages students to identify, question, and cross social boundaries.

The Guilderland girls’ soccer season ended on Friday afternoon as the Dutch lost to the Silver Warriors in the start of the Class AA sectionals, 2 to 0.

Win and get in: The Guilderland Dutchmen won against Christian Brothers Academy last Friday night at home, qualifying for the Class AA playoffs next week. The Dutch led from the start, concluding with a 41-to-19 win. Guilderland will face undefeated Shaker at Shaker Friday night at 7 p.m.

Brian E. Beloncik

ALBANY COUNTY — On Friday morning, Brian E. Beloncik was sentenced to six years in state prison, to be followed by five years of post- release supervision for robbing a Guilderland house in April.

He appeared before Judge Roger D. McDonough in Albany County Supreme Court on Oct. 19.

Mary O. Beals

ALTAMONT — A prayerful woman who adored her family and looked after those in need, Mary O. Beals died on Friday, Oct. 19, 2018, with her loving family by her side. She was 84.

ALTAMONT — Beatrice Orsini, who loved gardening and cooking, died on Sunday, Oct. 14, 2018. She was 85.

She was born on Sept. 27, 1933.

On Wednesday afternoon, Pine Bush Elementary held a ceremony to officially open up the brand new adaptive playground at the school.

On Sunday, Crossgates mall hosted the Capital Capabilities with sponsor Market 32 in efforts to help people with disabilities to help them find work and show off their musical talent.
