CAMBRIDGE — Jeffrey Allen Herchenroder, a longtime stringed-instrument and orchestra teacher for the Guilderland schools, died unexpectedly on Friday, Feb. 7, 2020.

“He leaves behind a legacy and an enormous hole in the hearts of those who knew him, “ his family wrote in a tribute.

In addition to this stabbing, there have been three brawls at Crossgates Mall over the past two months, with two of them caught on video and widely reported.

GUILDERLAND — George Thomas “Tom” Miller had a big heart and served as a mentor to many young people, said his wife, Deborah Pardee. He died on Saturday, Dec. 21, 2019, while skiing at the Arizona Snowbowl ski resort in Flagstaff. He was 73. 

GUILDERLAND — Sarah and Guy Bucey, a husband-and-wife team, have been promoted to leadership roles at Inova, located in the Northeastern Industrial Park in Guilderland Center. Founded in 2001, Inova manufactures multifunctional, space-saving furniture like modern Murphy beds that pull down from vertical storage.

Retired Guilderland teacher Timothy Horan had been elected vice president of the board last July.
