On Saturday, Oct. 11, Berne-Knox-Westerlo, Bethlehem, Guilderland, and Voorheesville cross-country teams competed in the Burnt Hills Invitational at Saratoga State Park. BKW boys finished 13th, Bethlehem boys 10th, and Bethlehem girls second.
On Friday, Oct. 10, the Guilderland boys’ volleyball squad hosted Suburban Council foe in Saratoga on their Dig pink event. The Dutch fought hard but fell in straight sets; 25-27, 23-25, 14-25.
Last Thursday, Oct. 9, the Guilderland girls’ soccer team made the trip up the Northway to take on the Blue Streaks on their senior night. The brisk and chilly weather along with the tough Saratoga defense didn’t allow the Dutch much opportunity as they fell 4 to 0.
On Wednesday, Oct. 8, the Guilderland and Bethlehem boys’ golf squads battled for a team title in the Section 2, Class A sectionals. Then on Tuesday morning, six Eagles and seven Dutchmen competed in the state qualifiers in hopes to make June’s state competition.
The sign, which says “John Wolcott Pine Bush Hikers’ Underpass,” will be displayed on the Thruway underpass for County Route 155. The underpass connects walkers and wildlife to the Pine Bush Preserve.
The proposed shop — 2093 Western Avenue, a multi-tenant building currently home to a dog salon — is located within a quarter mile of Guilderland’s second town-approved dispensary at 2028 Western Avenue.
