After seven heartbreaking years of enduring a fatal disease, the Rodinos have friends that are still raising funds and raising hopes.

These local students have recently distinguished themselves:

— Mark Guido of Slingerlands, interned with the State University of New York College at Potsdam First Year Success Seminar in Potsdam, for the Fall 2014 semester;

These local students have been named to the Marist College dean's list for the fall 2014 semester:

— James Crowley of Slingerlands, a member of the Class of 2018, majoring in computer science;

GUILDERLAND CENTER — Donna LaGrange, a woman known for always having a smile on her face, died on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015, at her home. She was 50.

Ms. LaGrange was born in Cobleskill on Oct. 28, 1964, the daughter of James “Butch” and Gloria LaGrange.

She graduated from Guilderland High School in 1984.
