Friends of the late Doug Lawton present a check for more than $3,000 to the New York Oncology Hematology Community Cancer Foundation, from funds raised in a golf tournament.

Dan Dymes felt helpless in the wee hours of Wednesday morning as his Agway delivery truck was stuck in the snow and he watched the Prospect Terrace fire next door getting closer. In the end, he was grateful, although his truck was damaged and his mulch pallets unsellable, that no one was hurt.

A proposal for a nine-acre array on Route 156 that would have been Guilderland’s first solar farm was withdrawn this fall. Now the town is considering a proposal for a zoning district change to allow for construction of a solar farm about twice the size.
