With sectionals right around the corner, the Guilderland girls’ field hockey and volleyball teams made a final push last week.

The girls’ volleyball team faced off against Colonie at home last Thursday and won, three set to two; 26-28, 25-10, 25-20, 22-25, 25-19. Keeping her eyes on the ball, Guilderland’s Amber Nunizato sets the ball in the first set of the Dutch’s win. Nunizato had five blocks.

Guilderland, which is 7-2 overall, had a tough match against Colonie. Bumping up the ball, Dutch’s Bernie Javier helps return a Colonie serve. Javier had 11 digs.
