On Tuesday afternoon, Guilderland High School student Tara Pede signed her letter of intent to play sports in college.

It was a battle for the Guilderland girls’ lacrosse team last Saturday afternoon at Suffern Middle School against North Rockland from Section One. Guilderland had a late push in the second half, but the eight-goal difference after the first half was too much for the Dutch, who fell 13-10.

The outdoor track and field teams of Berne-Knox-Westerlo, Voorheesville and Guilderland sent many athletes to the state qualifiers last Thursday and Friday at Shenendehowa High School.

The historic Mynderse-Frederick House at 451 Route 146 in Guilderland Center will hold an open house on Saturday, June 17. The event, from 1 to 4 p.m., will include tours of the award-winning gardens and the building’s interior, which will be decorated with flower arrangements.
