The jury in the Tasheem Maeweather Crossgates Mall shooting case deliberated for about a day before reaching their verdict Friday afternoon, acquitting him on three of the four felonies with which he was charged. The jury, which had been seated on Monday, determined that Maeweather was not guilty of attempted murder, attempted assault, or criminal possession of a weapon.
GUILDERLAND —Albert E. Parshall, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, formerly of Guilderland and Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, died on Jan. 28, 2017. He was 89. A Marine who served during both World War II and the Korean War. he was very active in fraternal organizations.
ALTAMONT — Esther May Adams — the mother of five, grandmother of 15, and great-grandmother of 16 — died on Monday, May 1, 2017, at The Grand of Guilderland. She was 94.
She was born on Sept. 27, 1922 to William and Eva (née Robare) Kehoe.

GUILDERLAND — The town of Guilderland is currently accepting registrations for its 2017 spring and summer youth programs. There are still openings in over 100 youth sports and enrichment camps as well as swim lessons and Tawasentha Park’s half-day camp.
