NEW SCOTLAND – Both Buona Sera and J.J. Madden’s have closed their doors to the public; owner John Jeffers said there wasn’t enough local business to keep him restaurant and bar afloat.

GUILDERLAND — It ended in overtime.

Shaker’s Stefan Dabkowski helped pull off one of the greatest upsets in Section II lacrosse history as his overtime goal gave the number-10 seeded Blue Bison a 7-6 win over the second seed Guilderland on Friday afternoon.

BERNE — Since December, Berne-Knox-Westerlo High School has been without a full-time principal.  Mary Petrilli has been on medical leave.
