LAKE GENEVA, Wisc. — Gordon E. Perlee III died on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 26, 2020, after a short but courageous battle with cancer. He was 71 years old.
ALTAMONT — Dr. Alan J. Fogel — a doctor with a caretaker’s soul whose greatest joy was his family — died unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, Nov. 12, 2020. He was 66.
RENSSELAERVILLE — “Aunt Kate,” as Katherine S. Baitsholts was known around the hamlet of Rensselaerville, died at St. Peter’s Hospice in the early morning hours of Monday, Nov. 2, 2020, after having suffered a massive brain hemorrhage the preceding Thursday afternoon. She was 99 years old.
EAST BERNE — Colleen M. Houlihan of East Berne — a woman with quick-witted humor and kind and caring ways — died on Friday, Oct. 30, 2020, after a courageous 16-year battle with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
GUILDERLAND — Julian W. LeVine, an Army Airforce veteran and Syracuse University graduate, taught first- through sixth-grade gym class at Westmere Elementary School for 30 years until he retired in 1986 with a “Julian LeVine Day.”
“The true measure of a man is in the lives he touches, the love he gives to others, his kind words, and the way he listens with a humble ear. This was our dad,” wrote Edwin Rosa’s children in a tribute.
DELMAR — Sarbjit Kaur Saran — “a beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend and mentor to many,” her family wrote in a tribute — died on Sunday, Sept. 27, 2020. She was 58.
She was born on Feb. 18, 1962, in Nawanshahr, India.
