G.O.P. Will Not Concede.

Republican leaders are not yet ready to concede the president’s re-election. Chairman Wilcox announced he would make no concessions before the vote for all the doubtful states had been “officially canvassed.”

GUILDERLAND — “An Evening with Jim Moran: Questions and Answers” will be the Guilderland Historical Society’s program at its Nov. 17 meeting. Jim Moran has been an active blacksmith since 1972.

Hilton Barn, New Scotland, New York

The 120-year-old Hilton Barn was lowered to its new foundation Monday, moved across the street last March to save it from demolition. New Scotland Supervisor Doug LaGrange said he hopes to eventually see the barn connect with the Helderberg-Hudson Rail Trail and use it as a venue.

For about $38,600, covered by grants and contributions, Altamont will soon have a series of signs at 26 sites, meant to inform residents and attract visitors.

With enlightening narrative, and songs that women sang during the suffrage movement between 1848 and 1920, a two-act concert presented by Old songs Inc. tells the story of how American women won the right to vote.

A cocktail reception to raise funds for the visitor’s center at John Boyd Thacher State Park will be held on Nov. 3.

VILLAGE NOTES.

— A small express wagon belonging to Fred Finch was stolen Wednesday evening. Mr. Finch left the wagon in front of the residence of Mrs. Katherine Becker for a few minutes and returned to find it gone. Unless it is returned the thief will find himself in trouble.

"American Stoneware: Objects Both Utilitarian and Beautiful" will be Robert Halley's presentation for the Guilderland Historical Society's program at its Thursday, Oct. 20, meeting.

Developer Gregory Wolanin will need to find a new place to store the World War II vehicles he collects and exhibits, the Guilderland zoning board decided Oct. 5.
