Last Wednesday, Feb. 11, the Guilderland Nordic ski team traveled to Gore Mountain Ski Bowl for the Section 2 championships. The Dutch will send two to the state meet on Feb. 23 at Bristol Mountain Ski Resort outside Rochester.

Last Wednesday, Feb. 11, the Bethlehem and Guilderland gymnastic squads battled against Shaker and Saratoga in the Section 2 championships at Shaker High School for a spot in Feb. 28 state competition at Valley Gymnastics in Utica.

On Sunday, Feb. 8, the Bethlehem and Guilderland girls’ wrestling squads battled in the first-ever sectional tournament at Niskayuna High School where the top eight will advance to Monday’s state qualifier tournament at Guilderland High School for a trip to the State competition.

On Saturday, Feb. 7, Guilderland and Bethlehem boys’ wrestling teams battled in the Section 2, Division 1, Class 1 sectionals at Shaker High School as they looked to move onto the state qualifiers next week at Glens Falls.

On Friday, Feb. 6, the Guilderland and Bethlehem boys’ bowling squad took to the lanes at Boulevard Bowl in Schenectady as they competed against the other Section 2, Class A schools for a right to head to states.

On Sunday, Feb. 1, Guilderland and Bethlehem indoor track teams battled in the Section 2, Division 1 championships at Hudson Valley Community College. Guilderland took home nine championships; the girls won their fourth straight title while the boys finished fifth.

On Saturday, Jan. 24, cheer teams from Berne-Knox-Westerlo, Bethlehem, and Guilderland took to the mat in the third annual Karde’s Angels cheer competition. BKW finished second in Class D, Bethlehem finished fifth in Class B, and Guilderland finished second in Class A.

Last Thursday, Jan. 22, the Guilderland bowling team travelled to Spare Time Clifton Park to take on Shenendehowa. The Dutch started strong but the pins didn’t fall for them after the first game. They lost 24.5-7.5 (3881-3537 in total pins).

On Saturday, Jan. 17, the Guilderland Indoor Track squad competed against some of the best in the Jack Reed High School Showcase at the Golisano Training Center on the campus of Nazareth University near Rochester.
