On Monday, Feb. 16, the Guilderland and Bethlehem girls’ wrestling squads battled in the Section 2 state qualifiers at Guilderland High School to attempt to qualify for Feb. 26’s state competition at the MVP arena in Albany.

Making quick work: Eagles’ Candance Oakley gets Canajoharie-Fort Plain’s Lila Clarke shoulders to the mat in their 145-pound match. Oakley won by pin in 23 seconds and finished 5th.

Down you go: Eagles’ Madeline Lee puts her body weight on top of Berlin-New Lebanon’s Lilianna Gabriele chest as she gets the pin in their 152-pound match. Lee won by pin in 48 seconds then finished 5th.
