Clayton A. Bouton High School

On Friday, Sept. 19, the Guilderland-Voorheesville girls’ swimming team took to the pool at Clayton A. Bouton High School as they took on Shaker. Guilderville battled but fell 99 to 87.

Last Thursday, Sept. 18, the Voorheesville Blackbirds hosted the Cohoes Tigers in a Colonial Council matchup. The Blackbirds spread and spiked home a straight set win; 25-15, 25-21, 25-15.

On Saturday, Sept. 6, the Voorheesville cross-country team hosted their annual Blackbird invitational at Swift Town Park in New Scotland. Twenty one other teams competed.

Last Thursday, Sept. 4, the Voorheesville girls’ golf team battled against Academy of the Holy Names and the blustery wind conditions at Orchard Creek Golf Course. The Blackbirds won 102 to 108.

Last Thursday, Aug. 28, the Voorheesville girls’ soccer squad kicked off their season on the road as they took on Albany Academy for girls. The Blackbirds dominated the time of possession as they went on to win, 3 to 0.

On Monday, Aug. 25, the Voorheesville boys’ golf team opened up their season against La Salle at Frear Park Golf Course. The Blackbirds fell, 155 to 172.

On June 19 to 22, track athletes from Guilderland, Voorheesville, and Bethlehem competed against the top athletes from around the nation in Philadelphia at the New Balance Nationals at Franklin Field on the campus of University of Pennsylvania.

On Friday and Saturday, June 13 and 14, members of the Berne-Knox-Westerlo, Bethlehem, Guilderland, and Voorheesville track team battled against other track athletes around New York state as they competed in the New York State Public High School Athletic Association’s state track meet at Middleto

Golfers from Guilderland, Voorheesville, and Bethlehem took to the golf course on June 8 and 9, after an eight-month layoff, to battle in a two-day tournament for a New York State championship. The boys were at Mill Creek Golf Course and the girls were at Wild Wood Country Club.
