On Sunday, Feb 3rd, the Guilderland Elks held a all-you-can-eat breakfast to raise funds for Jack’s Place in Schenectady, which houses families of out-of-town patients at Ellis Hospital and Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital.

Anita Murphy, the upcoming district superintendent for the Capital Region Board of Cooperative Educational Services, said that her arrival comes at important time for the program, where schools with restricted budgets may seek shared services and interest in vocational training continues to grow.

Capital Region high school students may take part in a four-day camp this summer to learn about careers in technology.
SEMI High-Tech U Camp runs from July 21 to 24, and is open to students in ninth through 12th grades.
