RENSSELAERVILLE — A single-car crash in Rensselaerville early Sunday morning has left one Middleburgh young woman dead and another injured, according to a report from the Albany County Sheriff’s Office.

Alexander Hamilton will face one to three years in prison after pleading guilty to manslaughter in December.

It’s been a year since Roger Sawyer of Guilderland died on his bicycle, hit by a sport-utility vehicle as he headed to work before dawn.

A car crashed at the intersection of Beebe Road and Knox-Gallupville Road, leaving a 22-year-old from Altamont dead and a 23-year-old injured.

The driver, who was surrounded by both full and empty beer cans at the crash site, was charged with driving while intoxicated. Police are pursuing further criminal charges while investigating the crash that killed a Berne woman.

DELMAR — Two teenage customers at Dunkin’ Donuts were injured on Friday when a car crashed into the store.

The driver, Jack A. Benjamin, 27, of Oneonta, turned himself in at the police station later on Sunday and was charged with three traffic infractions, according police. 

A man was thrown from his snowmobile Saturday night after he crashed into a tree in Berne, police say.

Guilderland Police have found the driver, said spokesman Curtis Cox of the Guilderland Police, aided by a witness who took down a license-plate number.
