A humbling, uplifting, and moving day

To the Editor:

The family of Jean Forti would like to heartily thank all those that made Saturday such a celebration of life. It was a humbling, uplifting, and moving day, and a lot of fun!

A big thank-you to everyone who ran or walked or cut though the park in the morning 5K.

Thank you to all of the organizers of the day's festivities, the bakers, the barbecue crew, gift basket donors, the great food, amazing cakes, the dancers, the musicians, the pony pullers, the rope walkers, and most of all the huggers!

It was a special honor to have the American Legion rumble in; thank you!

May days like this help us all bounce back from life's difficult turns.

Love,

The Fortis

More Letters to the Editor

After many months of soul-searching and discussion with my family, I decided not to run for re-election in March as Altamont’s Mayor.

Although there has already been one Guilderland Board of Education meeting in the fall where the district asked for input on the school budget, I am unsure what was the extent of public input. I actually am not sure if anyone spoke.
