Hilltown Healthcare is currently located at 1772 Helderberg Trail, in Berne, in a building owned by James and Kimberly Conklin. Nurse practitioner Jill Martin is building a new office at 1705 Helderberg Trail.

The month of February was  busy for the Helderberg Ambulance Squad. There were 26 calls during the month. Sixteen calls were medical and 10 were trauma. We continue to be proud of our response time which is 12 minutes from the time the pager goes off to the time we get to the scene.

John Sweeney said that he believes there’s “an opportunity for a negotiated settlement” between the town, Mohawk Hudson Land Conservancy, and the three Berne residents he represents.

Leo Vane Jr. is a retired airline pilot, who says that his “biggest concern is for the residents of the town.”

Berne Supervisor Sean Lyons said that the assessor’s office made a clerical error and “only collected for the maintenance and operation fees” instead of the full levy.
