Still without a dog control officer after Jodi Jansen resigned on short notice in April, the Berne Town Board is weighing options to reform the position, all while the popular former DCO Cheryl Baitsholts languishes as a candidate. 

SCHOHARIE COUNTY — Todd N. Rolfe, of Murphy Road in the town of Wright, died Thursday, July 15, 2021, at Albany Medical Center after a long decline in health. He was 65.

He was born on June 7, 1956 in Cooperstown, New York, a son of Fritz and Irene (née Settle) Rolfe.

The Berne-Knox-Westerlo Board of Education welcomed new member Lisa Joslin, appointed Matthew Tedeschi as board president, and heard from Superintendent Timothy Mundell about critical race theory. 

A new program designed by Cornell Cooperative Extension Albany County aims to supply Hilltown residents — regardless of their income — with products and education that will make for safer homes and healthier occupants.
