GUILDERLAND — W. Brian Barr, president of Senior Hope Counseling Inc., was selected as the 2014 recipient for the Third Age Achievement Award for Health and Human Services.

GUILDERLAND — The Guilderland Town Board and the Altamont Village Board of Trustees held a joint public hearing on Tuesday night to discuss annexing more than 50 acres of land from Guilderland to the village.

When Dennis Moore first came on the job the town had just purchased Tawasentha Park, and it was the only park Guilderland owned. The town now owns eight parks spread over nearly 600 acres.
