RAVENA — The Grace United Methodist Church at 16 Hillcrest Drive in Ravena is having a huge mid-winter book sale, with over 33,000 titles, as well as a mini rummage sale on several dates at the end of February.

Just this past week, the church received a donation of another 1,500 books, due to a business closing.

Rensselaerville is a tiny village with a big heart. Three weeks ago, an 1814 historic home was fully involved in one of the worst fires the village has experienced.

GUILDERLAND — Jeffrey W. Webb, a man dedicated to his family and his job, died on Friday, Jan. 30, 2015. He was 71.

Mr. Webb was born in Ossining, New York, the son of the late Wilbur W. and Ethel-Mae (née Pratt) Webb.

Donald DePass and Michael Fitzgerald returned recently to the room where they graduated from high school, this time to be admitted to the New York State Bar.

The Dutchmen had Senior Night on Jan. 29, winning seven of the 11 matches.
