Because she has lost several friends and relatives to breast cancer, the owner of a new hair salon in Guilderland says that a percentage of the profit from all sales of wigs at her shop will go to research for a cure.

GUILDERLAND — Signs-ups begin on Jan. 17 for Guilderland High School students interested in playing spring sports.
