ALTAMONT — Ardelle M. (née Gordon) Spawn, of Altamont, died peacefully at her son’s home on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2020, after a long battle with dementia. She was 76.
She was born on Oct. 12,1943, the daughter of the late Stanley Gordon and Katherine (née Kniskern) Gordon of Central Bridge.
ALTAMONT — Helen Banas Reals, of Saratoga Springs — one of the first female police officers in Los Angeles, and the first female reader at St. Lucy’s Parish in Altamont — died on Thursday, Sept. 10, 2020. She was 92.
Kits of hand sanitizer,KN-95 masks, and hand soap are donated to Altamont Elementary School Tuesday morning by Jonathan Phillips, fifth-generation owner of Phillips Hardware.
