Celebrate friendships with Christian women

To the Editor:

The New York Capital District Christian Women’s Connection is sponsoring a “Celebrating Friendships” luncheon on Wednesday, March 10, at the Guilderland Elks Lodge at 3867 Route 146 (Carman Road), beginning at 11:30 a.m. and ending at approximately 1:30 p.m.

State COVID-19 recommendations will be adhered to along with a limit of 43 reservations.

Your reservation is necessary no later than March 5 and, if you’ve reserved a lunch, you must let us know if you cancel. Please call Nancy at 518-869-0642 or Carol at 518-869-5253 for reservations.

On the menu this month is a corned-beef-and-cabbage dinner with an alternative choice of grilled chicken salad. The cost is $17 inclusive (cash only please).

Our special speaker and music this month is one of our favorite friends, Judi Merriam from Schenectady, who will not only be singing for us, but also speaking on the topic of “Freedom from Living Up to the Expectations of Others.”

A special feature will be Kathy Fitzmaurice from the New York State Small Business Development Center, who will share information on starting and growing small businesses.
