Taryn Hanley builds compassion with Girl Scout Gold

KNOX — Taryn Hanley of Knox, a senior at Berne-Knox-Westerlo, is completing her Girl Scout Gold Award.

The daughter of Tami and Dan Hanley, she has been a Girl Scout since she was in first grade.

EAST BERNE — Robert S. Galusha Sr., a responsible and hard-working man who always made time for his passions, died last Tuesday, April 21, 2020, at the age of 76. 

Free masks for Knox residents

KNOX — Free masks will be given to Knox residents on Saturday, May 2, from 9 a.m. to noon or while supplies last.

Residents may drive through at the town hall, at 2192 Berne-Altamont Road, and receive a free mask without having to leave their vehicle.

Baptist church holds drive-in services

WESTERLO — The First Baptist Church of Westerlo is hosting an Outdoor Drive-In Worship Service in its parking lot on Sunday, May 3, and Sunday, May 10. Both services will start at 10 a.m.

The church is located at 618 Route 143 in Westerlo.
