Citizen Science: imap Invasives. 6 to 8 p.m. Invasive plants are one of the biggest threats to the Albany Pine Bush Preserve. These sometimes non-native, aggressive plants can outcompete our native plants and change the ecosystem entirely. If you have a smart device please bring it with you. Ages 15+. Nature Sketching classes to be held at the Albany Jewish Community Center, 340 Whitehall Road, on Tuesdays, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.:  May 23, 30, June 6, 13 and 20.  Carol Coogan instructs this series. Students can record observations of the natural world (leaves and flowers) through sketches, drawings, and written descriptions.  Cost is $82, $72 for a JCC member.  Prepaid registration is required in the Albany JCC’s senior adult office.
