The Altamont Board of Trustees will hold a public hearing on next year’s budget on April 5, at 7 p.m., at Village Hall, with adoption likely taking place during the village’s annual reorganizational meeting, also on Tuesday. 

“New variants, such as the B.A.2 variant, continue to arise,” said Governor Kathy Hochul, “and without additional federal funds the proven tools we have come to rely on, most notably vaccines and boosters, may not be readily available for all New Yorkers.”

At the March 22 meeting of the Guilderland Industrial Development Agency, board members were informed that Airgas USA had declined to accept a $240,000 sales-tax break the company sought and was granted for its three-acre liquid argon gas storage and distribution facility in the Northeastern Industrial Park.

The Berne-Knox-Westerlo Board of Education accepted Superintendent Timothy Mundell’s proposed budget in a unanimous vote, along with the district’s annual bus proposition and the proposed purchase of 1772 Helderberg Trail. GUILDERLAND — “A hunter recently paid a penalty for taking a deer out of season on Christmas Day in Guilderland,” said a Wednesday press release from the state’s Department of Environmental Conservation.
