To the Editor:

This is in response to Anita Marrone’s letter that appeared in The Enterprise on Nov.21.

To the Editor:

The editorial on Pat Wagoner and Marge Gilbert was wonderful and caring.  Pat was so overwhelmed and honored when she received this award at the dinner that they finally remembered to say thank you; it took the nation long enough to do.

The task of honoring veterans goes on.

To the Editor:

We’re giving thanks for horses and some very special people.

Recently, Victoria Acres Equine Facility in Altamont at 3771 Western Turnpike teamed up with Schenectady ARC to serve people with intellectual and developmental disabilities through the use of equine assisted activities.

To the Editor:

Berne native Hal Miller has just published Berne and Knox: Our German Heritage, and the town of Berne recently re-issued Our Heritage. These books and other newly available resources can help local history enthusiasts research their family, homes, and community.

To the Editor:

I want to share with you an experience I had eight years ago. I had given birth to my first child just a week before Christmas. I remember being fantastically happy, and at the same time crying for bringing my child into a poor home heavy with debt.

To the Editor:

As of Nov. 19, I have submitted my letter of resignation to the town of Berne, in regards to my position as councilperson. It was a hard decision, yet the best decision.

I have other professional opportunities that may be coming, as well as "life is too short" situations.

To the Editor:

Another unenforceable law has been passed in Albany County.

Would you vote to pass a law without adhering to proper procedure?

To the Editor:

The Boyd Hilton Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7062 and Ladies Auxiliary will be Hosting their fifth annual Lunch with Santa on Dec. 14 from 1 till 4 p.m.

To the Editor:

This is the time of year when we not only look forward to spending time with our family and friends, but also a time when we really think about those less fortunate.

To the Editor:

First I want to state my position on education: Education is critical to our future.  Professional teachers with a safe and clean place to work are critical to the quality of education.

To the Editor:

On behalf of the board of directors of Altamont Community Tradition, I want to remind your readers to circle their calendars for Dec. 14 and 15 to plan to attend our 12th Annual Altamont Victorian Holidays Celebration!
