KNOX — Democrat Jean Gagnon is running for a second four-year term as town justice, and will be challenged by Republican Bonnie Donati, who also ran in 2007.

Dolin proposes 5% tax cut

NEW SCOTLAND — Supervisor Thomas Dolin has proposed an election-year budget with a 5-percent tax cut.

GUILDERLAND — Zoe Elwell, along with her seventh-grade classmates at Farnsworth Middle School, has been studying exploration.

GUILDERLAND — Democratic incumbent Rosemary Centi is running unopposed for another two-year term as town clerk. She has been Guilderland’s clerk since 2000, and was unopposed in the last three elections.

After practicing law for 23 years, including seven years in Albany County, Christopher Aldrich is making his first run for town judge on the Republican ticket.

Salisbury vs. Barber for highway superintendent

KNOX — Republican incumbent Gary Salisbury is running for a fourth term as highway superintendent, and will be challenged by Dennis Barber, who is running on the Democratic line.

GUILDERLAND — Democrat Jean Cataldo is running unopposed for another four-year term as the town’s receiver of taxes. She has held the position since 2000.
