Young pro football fans will have the opportunity to exhibit their punting, passing, and placekicking skills when Guilderland Pop Warner football hosts an NFL Punt, Pass & Kick competition on Thursday, Aug. 22. The event starts at 6 p.m. at the Nott Road Athletic Fields.

This letter is the result of reading Melissa Hale-Spencer’s fascinating, and, as always, well-written article about Tom Capuano’s epic poem: “The Tale of Tekarionyoken” and then reading the book itself.

 Fair week is always an exciting week around our house. I have spent all of fair week on the grounds in one capacity or another for most of our life here in Altamont.
