Stewart’s has bought the house next to its Altamont store. A year ago, the village board declined to change the zoning of that parcel from residential to commercial, nixing plans Stewart’s had for expansion.

ALTAMONT — John and Kristin Smith celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Sept. 3, 2016.  On Aug. 27, they had a wonderful celebration with family and friends at Northway Bible Chapel, including many friends from Bellevue Gospel Chapel.

ALTAMONT — A Guilderland Republican who served as town attorney for two dozen years, Frank J. Williams Jr. died on Friday, Aug. 19, 2016, at St. Peter's Community Hospice Inn. He was 94.

Molly Foote of Guilderland, 9, likes to educate others about the “absence seizures” that come with her form of epilepsy, so that kids who have them can get treatment. But she doesn’t talk about her disease much, otherwise, and most of her friends don’t know she has it.
