GUILDERLAND — Suzanne E. DiBartolomeo was a consummate caregiver, her family says. As a nurse, she cared for her patients and always put her family first, caring for them.

She died on Monday, Oct. 25, 2021, at Albany Medical Center, after a very brief illness. She was 76.

On Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 26, Guilderland’s Katrina Setchenkov battles Schenectady-Mohonasen’s Loren Cuomo in a rematch of the sectional final in 2019 at Sportstime in Schenectady. Setchenkov fell in straight sets 3-6, 0-6.

On Friday, Oct. 22, the Guilderland Dutchmen boys soccer team, the 6-seed, took to the pitch against Bethlehem, the 3rd seed, played in the quarterfinals in the Section 2, Class AA sectionals. The Dutch fell behind early but fought their way to a 2-to-1 upset win over the Eagles.

On Thursday, Oct. 21, the Guilderland field hockey team started their quest to their second sectional title at home against Niskayuna in the quarterfinal of the Class A sectional at Afrim’s in Colonie. The Dutch sailed away to a 4-to-0 win and will face Saratoga this afternoon at Afrim’s.

ALTAMONT — Henry H. Witt Jr. — a Navy veteran, lifelong dairy farmer, and devoted family man — died peacefully on Monday, Oct. 18, 2021, following declining health.

He was born 91 years ago on Oct. 13, 1930 in Sharon, Connecticut to Laura (née Lehman) and Henry H. Witt Sr.
