 To the Editor:

To say 2014 has been a difficult year for our family is a bit of an understatement. In May, our mother, Joan Bonitz Dinovo, passed away unexpectedly.  Sadly, just 82 days later, our father, Salvatore R. (simply known as “Bob”) Dinovo, passed away as well.

The Guilderland Senior Services is offering the following activities the week of Sept. 1. Call the senior office at 356-1980, ext. 1048 with any questions or for information.

To the Editor:

For as long as I can remember, my cousin, sister, and I could not wait for the Altamont Fair every year.  We lived for that one week full of horseshows, eager animals, delicious food, and wondrous crafts and artwork proudly displayed by the crafters and artists.

To the Editor:

Monday, Aug. 18, was my Zoey day. She’s getting older and changing day by day. She still has a bottle once in a while. I fed her oatmeal for breakfast. I cooked enough for the both of us.

One beautiful, warm day this summer, Jim and I were sitting in the backyard watching puffy white clouds float by. We would survey the changing shapes and use our imagination to identify various animals. The clouds presented us with an ever-changing puzzle. I wonder if cloud puzzles were the inspiration for hidden picture puzzles.

At our routine Tuesday morning breakfast, we gathered at the Duanesburg Diner, in Duanesburg.
