ALTAMONT — Non-residents who have not paid their village water bills are set to receive termination-of-service letters, after the village board approved the shut-off orders at a board meeting Tuesday.

High schools that start later have teens with less tardiness, higher grades, less depression, and fewer car crashes. We should make the research a reality in our local schools.

GUILDERLAND — Friday afternoon, State Police released the names of the two adults who had been found dead, with their children, in their Westmere home by a relative on Wednesday afternoon. They identified the adult victims as Jin Feng Chen, 39, and Hai Yan Li, 38.

I have come to love Altamont, in a very short time, as a place of beauty, peace, and strong community relations. People respect each other (with freedom to disagree), help one another, and watch out for each other.

Yet.. — no one stops for people crossing the crosswalks on Main Street.
