Six Guilderville swimmers left for Ithaca today for this weekend's state competition and they couldn't be happier.

VOORHEESVILLE — The Classic Theater Guild will offer a one-time performance of It’s a Wonderful Life at the Voorheesville Performing Arts Center in December, after a two-week run at Proctors in Schenectady.

KING WILLIAM, Virginia — George “Skip” Henry Winters III, formerly of Voorheesville, died on Monday, Nov. 10, 2014. He was 59.

Mr. Winters graduated from Voorheesville Central Schools in 1974.

Senior Lydia Parker scored for Voorheesville from about midfield with 20 seconds left in regulation play to force the Class B final with Catholic Central into overtime where the Crusaders were victorious.

A goal by Julia Voss in the 39thminute, off of a well-placed assist by Talia Crisafulli, was enough offense for Voorheesville to advance to the finals.

Voorheesville is not the volleyball powerhouse it once was.

Guilderland was a big winner at the Albany County Meet last Friday.

The Guilderville swim team ended its regular season on Monday with a victory over Albany to finish with an overall record of 6-4. 

Soccer sectionals have started, and Voorheesville had an excellent win over Cohoes as the team will face Ichabod Crane, again.

Voorheesville is having one of its best football seasons ever.
