The first tournament that the Under 8s played in was in Rhode Island in November. The team lost three games and won none.

The lacrosse season started on a chill day as Voorheesville lost to Lansingburgh.

On March 30, members of the Guilderville girls' swim team post their six new records, broken this past fall, on their new swim board at the Clayton A. Bouton swimming pool in Voorheesville.

The new First Robotics team at Voorheesville's high school achieved the highest rookie seed in the qualifying rounds of the Tech Valley First regional championship on March 18 and 19 in Troy.

 
 

The outside temperatures might have been fluctuating, but inside the gymnasium was on fire for the Dutch, Blackbirds and Bulldogs during the winter sports season.​

Nine local wrestlers — five from Guilderland and four from Berne-Knox-Westerlo — wanted their tickets punched last weekend at the Glens Falls Civic Center to head to the Times Union Center in Albany for a state championship on Feb. 26 and 27. 

Guilderland’s varsity gymnastics team battled in sectionals on Feb. 10  at Shaker High School to get a spot in the state tournament on Feb. 27. 

Emily Rose Center, who played soccer for Guilderland High School, plays now on the Manhattan College team. Last fall, she made the Division 1 all-rookie all-star team for women’s soccer in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference for Manhattan College.

Voorheesville girls lost to Cohoes at home by six points on Tuesday evening.
