School board candidates — one in Voorheesville and one in Guilderland — have decided not to run in the May 19 elections; both had submitted valid petitions by the April 20 deadline.
Reluctant to comment on whether she supported the $22.3 million budget put forward by the school board for next year, Lillian Sisson-Chrysler said she thinks the district is well funded.
Between two candidates for two school board seats, the person with the most votes will fill a four-year term, and the person with the second most will take a three-year position.
Two seats are open on the school board here. Current board member Doreen Saia said that she will run, again. Nominating petitions are due in the district office April 20.
