A Dog Day Celebration, held in the Knox town park on Saturday, July 22, brought together dog owners in Knox and surrounding areas to vaccinate and register their dogs, as well as participate in activities held by the town.
Years ago, John Boyd Thacher State Park had been rumored of closing. A new visitors’ center is equipped with exhibits and activities for children in a modern building at the edge of the Helderberg escarpment.
The Guilderland Players’ musical for 2017, “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying,” runs March 16, 17, and 18 at 7 p.m. and March 19 at 2 p.m. at the high school.
Part of West Lydius Street, from Carman Road to Church Road, is being renamed for Guilderland resident Army First Lieutenant Lanny G. Ladouceur, who was killed in Vietnam.
