VOORHEESVILLE — The Voorheesville American Legion Auxiliary is holding its sixth annual Community Tag Sale on Saturday, Oct. 10, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the American Legion Hall on Voorheesville Avenue in Voorheesville.

RENSSELAERVILLE — “From Deterioration to Rebirth” will be the program at the annual meeting of the Rensselaerville Historical Society on Saturday, Sept. 26.

The Mendelssohn Club of Albany will hold auditions in October for male singers interested in joining the club for its 108th season. Interested tenors and basses are invited to rehearse with the club on Wednesday, Sept. 9, at 7:15 p.m. at the New Covenant Presbyterian Church at 916 Western Ave. in Albany.

People around the world will look at the moon on Sept. 19.

“It’s as easy as stepping out into their backyard,” said astronomer Dr. Valerie Rapson of the Dudley Observatory at The Museum of Innovation and Science (miSci).

Visitors to the Albany Pine Bush Preserve can learn about the plants in their midst on Sunday, Sept. 13.

VOORHEESVILLE — The Voorheesville Class of 1965 is holding its 50th reunion on Sunday, Oct. 18.

A pig roast at 146 South Main St. in Central Bridge will start at 11 a.m.

ALTAMONT — People of all ages are invited to attend Altamont Reformed Church’s Sunday School classes, beginning on Sept. 13 at 9:30 a.m.

The first Sunday following the Hurricane Irene, an ecumenical service was held on the lawn of Lasell Hall, known as D.A.R. Hall because the 18th-Century Federal building has been owned by the Schoharie Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution since 1913.

Donations are being accepted for the Bethlehem Grange 137 Annual Giant Rummage Sale, which will run on the second and third weekends of September.
