ALTAMONT — Esther May Adams — the mother of five, grandmother of 15, and great-grandmother of 16 — died on Monday, May 1, 2017, at The Grand of Guilderland. She was 94.
She was born on Sept. 27, 1922 to William and Eva (née Robare) Kehoe.
Dr. Suz Brooks spent her life working with and caring for children and animals, and she often said how blessed she was by that passion. She died on Monday, April 10, 2017, at Hancock Hall in Danbury, Connecticut. She was 68.
ALTAMONT — Margaret J. Rau could darn the holes in socks as well as she mended the hurt in hearts. As a farmwife, she was frugal and hardworking, a woman of deep faith and compassion.
She died on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany. She was 93.
GUILDERLAND — Martha Cowan Clark, known as Marcy to her friends and family, died unexpectedly and peacefully, with family at her side on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017, at Maine Medical Center following complications from a stroke. She was 64.
ALTAMONT — John W. Foley, who had a lifelong quest for speed, died on Friday, March 17, 2017, with his family by his side. “He was a legend and icon of Altamont for 60 years, fixing cars making them run better or faster,” his family wrote in a tribute. He was 79.
ALTAMONT — Janice A. Wright of Altamont, whom her family described as a loving mother and cherished grandmother, died on Thursday, Dec. 22, 2016, at Teresian House Nursing Home. She was 86.
GUILDERLAND — “Tommy was my middle child, my pride and joy,” said his mother, April Rowley. “He was so charismatic. Everybody who met him just fell in love with him.”
