New Scotland Kiwanis Town Wide Volunteer Day, co-sponsored by the town of New Scotland and the New Scotland Kiwanis Club, will be held on Saturday, May 2, with two shifts from 9 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 4 p.m., with a barbecue at the town hall from noon to 1 p.m. for all volunteers.

Betcha didn’t know just how lucky this community is to have two well-founded active veterans’ service organizations.

Betcha didn’t know that thousands of dollars are raised and donated annually by these two local VSOs.

Thanks to all of the community members who cleared off their bookcases and sorted through their jewelry boxes, the Friends of the Berne Library have the tables at the Berne Senior Center covered with books, DVDs, VHS tapes, audio tapes, puzzles, and jewelry ready for new owners.
