A community-wide thank-you from the Helderberg Hilltowns Association

To the Editor:

The Helderberg Hilltowns Association would like to thank all those who lent their support last weekend for the Fourth Annual 5k Sap Run.

Thank you to the town of Knox, which opened the doors to the town hall so the central location could be used as a home base for registration, waiting, and the awards ceremony; to the Knox Fire Department, which provided fire police for traffic control, and along with the Knox Reformed Church, graciously shared lots for extra parking; to the Helderberg Ambulance crew and Albany County Sheriff’s Office, which stood by in case of emergency; to Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara who joined our event as a kickoff to Maple Weekend; to The Altamont Enterprise; and last but certainly not least, to our many our race sponsors, volunteers, and runners.

It really does “take a village” and your participation and support are what makes it possible for HHA to host this great event and continue our work of promoting businesses, culture, and recreation in the Hilltowns.
