KNOX — Mark Von Haugg worked in his career at trouble-shooting technology, but he had his domestic lifestyle figured out at a young age.

Mark Benedict Von Haugg died peacefully at his home in Knox on May 9, 2015. He was 74.

Mr. Von Haugg was born on Feb. 19, 1941 in Albany to Lothar and Bertha (née Hasse) Von Haugg.

Learning as they go and using the latest cold-climate grape varieties, Ernest Cupernall and Victoria Vattimo are planning to produce wine from a vineyard on their Knox property.

The Helderberg Kiwanis restored the Knox-New Scotland school district schoolhouse on the Emma Thacher Nature Center grounds.  Daniel Driscoll will talk about the restoration, interviews with former students, and the records of school board meetings from 1824 to 1905.

KNOX — Whanda Shedina knew hard work not just as a means of getting by, but for its pleasure and beauty.

KNOX — Thomas Grippin had a skilled hand as a carpenter and a good heart as a family man.

KNOX — Thomas R. Filkins, a gentle and friendly man who was a tank mechanic during World War II and a postal carrier for most of his career, relished the role of public servant.

Kristen Reynders said her towing business continues to operate with its trucks parked at various locations, since she pleaded guilty to violating the zoning law in Knox.
