To the Editor:

Every year, our village offers the wonderful service of picking up residents’ leaves, grass clippings, and brush.

Although these items are requested to be placed at the edge of the lawn for pick-up, there are residents who routinely place these items directly into the street. This creates a safety issue for drivers and pedestrians in addition to making a mess on the street.

Please, fellow residents observe the village’s published procedures and keep your lawn debris off the streets.
