Help put branches on the Altamont Tree of history

To the Editor:

Here is a link to the archives Altamont Tree on Ancestry.com: http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/49303504/listofallpeople

As you can see, we are building a list of images of Altamont’s settlers and their family histories. The early names on the list do not have a last name.

Our hope is that people will look at the site and share images and history with us about their family history, and help identify those whose information is missing.

Connie Rue (who may be reached by phone at 727-3366) is the amazing volunteer editor who is doing the research for the site. I hope readers will also follow us on Facebook.

More Letters to the Editor

After many months of soul-searching and discussion with my family, I decided not to run for re-election in March as Altamont’s Mayor.

Patty (née Burgoon) Miller, Sherry Burgoon

January was a busy month for the Helderberg Ambulance Squad. There were 38 calls with 19 transports. The majority of these calls were medical. There were 24 calls in Berne and 14 calls in Knox. The Albany County Sheriff’s Office paramedic and the Guilderland paramedic rode with the squad on 10 calls.
